Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer are navigating a ‘rough’ time in their marriage amid speculation a split is imminent.
Pals of the comedian, 44, and the chef, 45, claimed the couple were on the brink of divorce, after a source told the Daily Mail that she is ‘100 percent’ ending their marriage.
Schumer had herself sparked fan concern after she ditched her wedding ring and wiped her entire Instagram – after not being seen with her husband for months.
An insider gave an insight into the current state of the pair’s seven-year marriage, revealing they are ‘going through a rough time but they’re working it out.’
The source exclusively told the Daily Mail that the couple are going through ‘growing pains in marriage.’
As for why Schumer recently took their New Orleans home — which she bought with her spouse in 2021 — off the market, the insider says it’s because ‘it’s too special’ and there are ‘too many memories there.’
It comes after her close friend told the Daily Mail that Amy — who recently underwent a dramatic weight loss with the help of Mounjaro — is ‘going to file soon’ and that ‘she got skinny’ and ‘is over it.’

The insider added that Amy has ‘changed since losing weight’ and that Chris is ‘never around.’
The couple tied the knot in 2018 and share son Gene, six.
Schumer raised eyebrows when she wiped clean her entire Instagram account on Tuesday – before uploading a new glam post displaying her weight loss and sans wedding ring.
She added she deleted the ‘old pics for no reason’.
Afterwards, she returned and shared a hospital photo of herself after giving birth to her son in a post on Wednesday.
Schumer and Fischer tied the knot in Malibu in front of 80 friends and family, including close pal Jennifer Lawrence, in 2018.
The couple signed a prenuptial agreement before they wed, which Schumer even joked about when she marked their seventh wedding anniversary back in February.
‘7 years ago we signed a prenup and haven’t had to utilize it! Love you babe,’ Schumer – who has a reported net worth of $45 million – wrote on Instagram, along with a photo from their wedding day.
Fischer has been by Schumer’s side at various events this past year but the last time they were photographed on the red carpet together appears to be in June 2025, at the premiere of Room To Move.

Notably, she also listed her Brooklyn home for $14M earlier this year and even dropped the price by over a million
But this year has also seen Schumer make several moves that suggest an official split may be incoming.
On top of the Instagram deletion, Schumer has also put two properties on the market this past year.
Schumer listed her Brooklyn home for $14 million before cutting the price to $12.75 million. She purchased the home – made famous for it’s appearance in the Cher film Moonstruck – in 2022.
When news broke of the listing back in March, Schumer told the Wall Street Journal they were relinquishing the home to move closer to Gene’s school in Manhattan: ‘He got into a good school and we’re too lazy to commute 45 minutes to take our son to school every day.’
The comedienne has also put the New Orleans residence she purchased with Fischer in 2021 on the market.
The home was listed on October 26, but sources recently told Realtor that she has had a change of heart about selling it.
It’s not the first time she has moved property since becoming a married woman – she also sold off her Upper West Side apartment in 2022.
In recent months, she enjoyed a trip to Vegas with her friends Alex Saks and Jillian Bell and on Tuesday evening celebrated a friend’s birthday alongside fellow comic Chris Rock.

Schumer has also undergone a dramatic transformation since beginning a weight loss journey these past few years.
She’s been open about undergoing liposuction and even trying the various trendy medications used for weight loss, including Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro.
While neither Ozempic and Wegovy sat well with her, Mounjaro stuck.
‘My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I want to “get down” more, if you know what I mean,’ she told Instagram followers. ‘I’m talking about sex.’
The transformation has not gone unnoticed either – a recent photo displaying her trim pins during a trip to Vegas earned rave reviews.
‘Loving the love. My legs thank you!’ she told followers.
Fischer, a chef and farmer, became diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder not long after marrying the star.
The actress has been candid with fans about how the condition has played a role in their relationship – and even credited it for helping her fall in love with him.
The disorder is a lifelong developmental disorder that makes it difficult for people to understand social cues or express themselves.
‘I knew from the beginning that my husband’s brain was a little different than mine,’ she said during her 2019 Netflix special Growing. ‘My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger’s. He has autism spectrum disorder. He’s on the spectrum.

‘And once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he’s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him.’
While on Saturday Night Live in 2022, she joked about how she’s had trouble discerning whether his comments were due to his diagnosis or merely because he is ‘a man’.
‘A couple of weeks ago, we were sitting outside. It was a nice night. It looked like it was going to rain, and I was feeling kind of sentimental, and I was like, “You know, even though these past couple of years with the pandemic and everything has been so stressful,” I said, “Still this time being with you, being with our son, they’ve been the best years of my life.’
‘And he just looked at me and he said, “I’m going to go put the windows up in the car.” Yeah, that’s my guy. It’s one of the times we play the game: autism or just a man?’
