The Trump Organization is set to develop an high-end hotel in the Maldives with 80 beach and overwater villas.
Working alongside luxury real estate developer Dar Global, the company has announced plans for Trump International Hotel Maldives.
Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr, sons of US President Donald Trump, are executive vice presidents of the firm.
Donald Trump resigned from the Trump Organization before he first took office in 2017.
The hotel will be the first in the Maldives for the Trump Organization and is due to open by the end of 2028.
It is located just 25 minutes away from Malé, the island’s capital, by speedboat and with dozens of beach and overwater villas, the hotel sets out to be ‘ultra-luxury’.
It is being developed specifically for holidaymakers ‘seeking the highest levels of privacy, exclusivity, and sophistication’.
Conceptual imagery released so far shows a modern overwater villa with an expansive deck around a curved pool.

Eric Trump said: ‘We are delighted to bring the Trump brand to the Maldives in collaboration with Dar Global.’
He went on to explain how the brand aims to bring a new level of luxury to the market.
‘This development will not only redefine luxury in the region but also set a new benchmark for innovation in real estate investment through tokenization,’ Eric said.
The company claims it is the first development of a ‘luxury hospitality project’ to be ‘tokenized’.
In this case, investors will be able to purchase and sell parts digitally, according to the Financial Times.
Meanwhile, Ziad El Chaar, CEO of Dar Global said: ‘Dar Global continues to push boundaries, from developing world-class destinations to pioneering new investment structures.
‘Tokenizing the development of Trump International Hotel Maldives marks a global first that blends luxury, innovation, and technology in a way that will transform how the world invests in hospitality.’
