As Tottenham’s crunch Premier League showdown with Crystal Palace on Thursday night creeps closer, Igor Tudor already finds himself under pressure in north London.

The Croatian arrived late last month as a replacement for Thomas Frank, who was relieved of his duties on February 11 after a shambolic stint in the dugout.

But Tottenham, so far, are yet to experience any new-manager bounce.

They were poor in Tudor’s first game, with Arsenal running riot as they cruised to a 4-1 victory at the home of their fierce rivals.

And they were similarly dire on Sunday, with Fulham winning 2-1 at Craven Cottage.

It means that, as Spurs prepare to return to action this week, they’re firmly in the mix for relegation. The unthinkable might, just might, end up happening to one of the biggest teams in the country.

GB News now takes a look at four reasons Tottenham already have to sack Tudor, who has looked well out of his depth so far.

Survival in a relegation battle requires total squad unity, but Tudor has already opted for the nuclear option.

Following the damaging 2-1 defeat to Fulham, he publicly accused his own players of lacking ‘brain’ and openly questioned their physical conditioning and desire.

While honesty has its place, airing these severe grievances in the media after a mere two matches destroys dressing-room morale.

When an interim manager alienates a fragile squad this rapidly, it breeds a toxic environment. Instead of galvanising a low-confidence team, his fiery rants and public finger-pointing risk completely losing the dressing room.

2) Zero signs of progress

The primary mandate of any mid-season interim appointment is to immediately halt a downward spiral and inject fresh momentum.

Tudor has spectacularly failed to deliver this vital short-term bounce.

Suffering consecutive defeats, a 4-1 thrashing by Arsenal followed by a dismal loss to Fulham, makes him the first Spurs boss since Martin Jol in 2004 to lose his opening two fixtures.

Tottenham sit perilously close to the drop zone, and Tudor’s arrival has done nothing to stabilise the ship. If the interim shock therapy isn’t yielding points, there is absolutely no justification for keeping him around.

3) Tactical mismatch during injury crisis

Tudor’s signature high-intensity, aggressive 3-4-2-1 system relies heavily on relentless running and high pressing.

However, he is attempting to force this physically exhausting philosophy onto a heavily depleted squad already suffering from a severe injury crisis.

Punishing exhausted players with gruelling “runs without the ball” in training, effectively running a brutal mini-preseason in the midst of a relegation dogfight, is a recipe for disaster.

Pushing an already stretched roster beyond its physical limits is highly likely to worsen the injury list rather than engineer a great escape, proving his uncompromising methods are mismatched to the moment.

4) They need to protect their Plan A

Tottenham’s long-term vision reportedly centers on a sensational summer reunion with former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

However, the allure of that Hollywood homecoming hinges entirely on Spurs actually remaining a Premier League club.

Tudor’s volatile start, coupled with his own admission that this is his hardest managerial job yet, suggests he might genuinely steer the club into the Championship.

If the board recognizes that this interim experiment is accelerating their demise, cutting Tudor loose now is pure self-preservation. It allows them to install a pragmatic caretaker who can simply keep them afloat until their primary target is available.
