AFL star Toby Pink’s wife Chloe has revealed the reason why the couple decided to have their wedding photographs retaken.

The childhood sweethearts, who grew up together in the small South Australian town of Millicent, tied the knot in March after seven years together.

Soon after sharing their wedding photos online, Chloe was bombarded with cruel comments from strangers criticising her appearance.

She has now revealed how Steph Claire Smith encouraged her to redo her photos after she recently appeared on her KICPOD podcast, so she can associate them with ‘better memories.’

‘Steph reached out to me and she said you don’t have to but I’d love to organise a photographer to redo the wedding pics,’ Chloe told the Herald Sun.

‘On Sunday we redid them and for over an hour we were in all the same spots and stayed at the same place and wore the same outfits.

‘It was needed. You don’t realise how much of an impact pictures have.’

It comes after Chloe revealed the torrent of vile criticism she received about her weight and appearance after posting her wedding photos to social media in April.

The couple had a lovely wedding day, and the new bride wasn’t expecting the cruel insults she would receive after sharing the photos online.

‘Did he marry a fridge?’ replied one person.

‘AFL player by day, pig hunter by night,’ said another while one added: ‘Did he marry an NRL prop forward?’

The shocking abuse left Chloe in emotional distress and crying for a week.

‘I didn’t think they’d be so horrible,’ she previously told News Corp.

‘It is easier said than done to ignore them. It is just a natural thing to read something about yourself.’

Her husband Toby was also stunned by the disgusting comments about his wife.

‘He really was in shock,’ she said.

‘People say bad things about footballers, but they talk about how they play, not their appearances,’ she said.

‘We both sat there and cried. He has been really good, really supportive, and he tells me he loves me and that I’m beautiful.

‘The comments were so vile and disgusting that they had to be deleted, and eventually, the comments were turned off completely. All because I don’t fit the typical “WAG mould”.

Chloe is determined not to let the body-shaming trolls get to her, and says it helps that her husband is always supportive.
