A Massachusetts woman was killed on her 21st birthday in a horrific head-on crash between two Teslas in Griswold, Connecticut.
Connecticut State Police said the collision happened Sunday on Preston Road when a gray 2024 Tesla Model Y, driven by 42-year-old Birenkumar Patel of Jewett City, veered into the opposite lane and slammed into a white 2021 Tesla Model Y traveling northbound.
That car was being driven by 23-year-old Daniel Dantas of Ludlow, Massachusetts. Both drivers suffered only minor injuries.
But Dantas’ passenger, Alexis Newcomb of Ashburnham, Massachusetts, was rushed to William W. Backus Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on her 21st birthday.
Police are still investigating.
