Meghan Markle has shared a glimpse into her celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday night – but fans have accused the former actress of ‘staging’ the scenes.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, took to her Instagram Stories to show the moment she watched her hometown team secure victory over the Canadian squad in the Major League Baseball championship.
Jumping and screaming for joy alongside her best friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, the mother-of-two rushed to share a kiss with her husband, Prince Harry, who looked unimpressed after his team failed to win.
The trio watched the game at a home cinema, complete with comfy recliners, thought to be at the Sussexes $14million Montecito mansion.
However, fans accused Meghan of ‘staging’ the ‘shrieking’ scenes, with one questioning why a ‘camera magically appeared’ to film the celebrations, while others criticised the former Suits star for not just ‘being in the moment’.
Kelly, co-founder of Alliance of Moms, a non-profit that supports pregnant and parenting teens who are in the foster care system, reposted her pal’s story to her Instagram page, writing: ‘Best game ever!
‘Sorry H your team didn’t win but mine did. Dodgers I LOVE YOU!,’ she added, revealing why the Prince wasn’t as excited as his over-the-top wife.
It comes after Meghan and Harry attended a baseball game at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Tuesday night – and their front row treatment received a mixture of boos and cheers from the crowd after the couple flashed up on the kiss-cam screen.

The pair infuriated fans by sitting in the best seats in the house to watch the LA Dodgers take on the Toronto Blue Jays, having secured spots directly behind the pitch clock, which usually costs tens of thousands of dollars.
Basketball icon and part-owner of the Dodgers, Magic Johnson, and four-time World Series winner and Hall of Fame pitcher, Sandy Koufax, were both relegated to seats behind Harry and Meghan, further outraging some fans.
It is unclear whether the Duke and Duchess, who were decked out in Dodgers’ merchandise, paid for the seats or if they were invited as VIPs by the team.
Further showing her support for the squad, a casually-dressed Meghan appeared to scream with joy in last night’s clip, hugging her best friend and sharing a kiss with her husband after all three watched the game together.
However, some fans questioned why the Duchess had a camera set up in the room, and insisted that she should’ve just ‘been in the moment’ instead.
‘This is irritating to see. Fake AF. Of course it was NOT staged because, you know, the camera was perfectly positioned to capture everyone,’ one person quipped.
‘Oh my gosh! Look how happy we are and so into each other. See, we have a friend and it’s not my bottle of wine,’ they added on X.
‘Have they taken this from a security camera!… Desperate times!!,’ another critic wrote, while a third joked: ‘Don’t forget to film it. Don’t forget to film it. Don’t forget to film it.’

Reaction: Fans accused the Duchess of ‘staging’ the ‘shrieking’ scenes, with one questioning why a ‘camera magically appeared’ to film the trio watching the Dodgers’ winning moment

A fourth sarcastically added: ‘Whenever my team wins, I immediately stop celebrating so I can set up my phone and record my boyfriend’s reaction – even if he couldn’t care less – because that’s totally normal behavior.
‘Forget “being in the moment.” This is why every marriage proposal should be filmed: always stop what you’re doing and hit record.’
On Tuesday night, the Sussexes had been enjoying a ‘date night’ at the Dodger Stadium when they featured on the big screen from their front row seats – but a mixture of boos and cheers broke out from the 56,000 sports fans.
The Duke and Duchess appeared to awkwardly brush off the mixed reaction by looking straight ahead and smiling.
One fan posted on social media: ‘Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just came on the big screen and the crowd booed them! I think I’d cry if that happened to me.’
