John Fetterman has been rushed to hospital with a life-threatening heart problem after falling this morning.
The US Senator from Pennsylvania was on a walk early Thursday when he ‘sustained a fall near his home in Braddock,’ the Democrat‘s spokesperson stated.
Fetterman was transported to a hospital in Pittsburgh after the accident where doctor’s determined he suffered a ventricular flare-up, his team said.
A flare-up refers to an episode of a ventricular arrhythmia in the heart.
The medical episode caused 56-year-old lawmaker to feel light-headed and fall to the ground, ‘hitting his face with minor injuries,’ the spokesperson said.
Following the incident, Fetterman issued a cheeky statement, appearing to be in good spirits.
‘If you thought my face looked bad before, wait until you see it now!,’ he said.
He is under observation in the hospital and is ‘doing well’ while doctor’s ‘fine-tune his medication regimen.’
This is a breaking news story.
