ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court has suspended the election tribunal’s order for re-polling at 22 polling stations in National Assembly constituency NA-251.

A two-member bench, comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shahzad Ahmad Khan, heard appeals against the tribunal’s decision to conduct fresh voting at these stations.

In the general elections, JUI-F’s Syed Samiullah was declared the winner from NA-251. The election tribunal had ordered re-polling after Form 45 documents went missing from 22 polling stations. This decision was subsequently challenged in the Supreme Court.
