Jack Grealish reveals surprising hobby as England ace submits plans for sprawling £5.6m Cheshire estate

Jack Grealish revealed his unexpected passion for growing vegetables at his sprawling £5.6million Cheshire estate, where he lives with influencer girlfriend Sasha Attwood.

The England midfielder, who is presently on loan at Everton from Manchester City, disclosed his horticultural interests through a planning application submitted to the local council.

The 30-year-old footballer and Attwood tend to allotment plots on their property in Chelford.

The £100million player sought a Certificate of Lawful Existing Use or Development, which serves as official confirmation that the current use of his gardens does not require planning consent.

The couple’s estate spans an impressive 9.6 acres.

In his application, Grealish outlined the various ways his family enjoys the extensive grounds.

He said: “Since I purchased the property my family and I have enjoyed individual golf practice and lessons, tennis lessons and matches, and boating and fishing on the lake.”

The footballer, who shares 14-month-old daughter Mila Rose with Attwood, 29, added: “We have used the lawns for regular entertaining with friends and general recreation.

Cheshire East Council is expected to make a decision on his application at a future date.

Beyond the vegetable patches, Grealish’s property boasts an array of impressive amenities.

The grounds feature a Japanese water garden, a secret garden, and a lake suitable for both fishing and boating.

Everton manager David Moyes has expressed his hope that Grealish’s strong form will help him secure a place back in the England national team squad, especially with a World Cup year approaching.

Grealish was left out of England’s final squad for the UEFA Euro 2024.

He described this omission as the hardest moment of his career.

Following Gareth Southgate’s departure, new England manager Thomas Tuchel has not yet selected Grealish for any squad call-ups, despite Grealish’s strong start to his loan spell at Everton.
