A New York City woman clad in a polka-dot dress has become an internet sensation after she forcibly fought against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Manhattan.
The woman, who has not been identified, wore a blue polka-dot dress, matching navy blazer and a pair of red shoes when she was caught on video flipping off an ICE Humvee and forcibly keeping agents away from their target.
During her action-packed outing, the woman was seen shoving an agent wearing a bulletproof vest, all while keeping her work tote securely on her arm, a social media video showed.
As the agent attempted to walk New Yorkers back toward the sidewalk, the woman – who has since been dubbed a ‘bada**’ by residents – could be seen giving the middle finger in protest.
She also appeared to be using her elbow to keep him back before yelling in his face, though exactly what she said remains unclear.
What’s more, the woman was also seen recording an agent while keeping her arm out blocking several citizens as an ICE employee approached her.
ICE raided Manhattan’s famous Canal Street, known for its counterfeit goods and designer knockoffs, on Tuesday around 3pm.
The street is located in the city’s Chinatown neighborhood.

At least 14 people, including immigrants and demonstrators, were arrested in Tuesday’s sweep.
It is unclear if the woman wearing the polka-dot dress was arrested or detained.
Regardless, the polka-dot-clad woman’s fearless rebuke of the immigration agency made her a star overnight, with many hailing her a hero.
‘One woman in a polka-dot dress showing more courage than half of Congress ever will. ICE tried. She didn’t flinch. Be The Polka-Dot Lady. Every- Damn-Time,’ one X user wrote.
Another wrote: ‘SHOUTOUT TO THE QUEEN IN THE POLKA DOT DRESS THOOOOO.’
‘To the strong woman with the polka dot dress that was out there fighting ICE [Tuesday] in NYC, you are an inspiration!!’ a third wrote.
‘HAIL TO THE NYC POLKA DOT DRESS LADY!!! HEROINE!’ a fourth wrote, along an image of the Batman bat signal featuring a polka-dot dress.
A fifth wrote: ‘To the brave NYC woman in the polka dot dress who single-handedly stood up to and stopped ICE: May both sides of your pillow always remain cool. May your coffee always have the perfect coffee/cream/sugar ratio. May you always get a seat on the train. May your bagel have the perfect schmear.

NYPD confirmed on X that they ‘had no involvement in the federal operation that took place.’
A spokesperson for Mayor Eric Adams issued a statement to ABC7 echoing the same sentiment: ‘We never cooperate with federal law enforcement on civil deportation matters, in accordance with local laws, and have no involvement in this matter.’
New York Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, asked New Yorkers to send in photos or videos of Tuesday’s immigration sweep so that her office can assess whether any laws were broken.
The Department of Homeland Security said it was a targeted operation focused on the alleged sale of counterfeit goods, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting Director Todd Lyons said it was ‘definitely intelligence-driven.’
‘It’s not random. We’re just not pulling people off the street,’ he told Fox News on Wednesday.
But some vendors saw it as an indiscriminate and heavy-handed crackdown by masked agents who queried a wide swath of sellers.
Law enforcement raids aimed at combating counterfeiting are relatively frequent on Canal Street.

Federal authorities often team up with the New York Police Department and luxury brands on crackdowns aimed at shutting down illicit trade.
But the sight of dozens of masked ICE and other federal agents making arrests drew instant protests.
Nine people were arrested in the initial immigration sweep, Homeland Security Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said.
Four more people were arrested on charges of assaulting federal law enforcement officers, she said, adding that a fifth was arrested and accused of obstructing law enforcement by blocking a driveway.
McLaughlin said some of the people arrested had previously been accused of crimes, including robbery, domestic violence, assaulting law enforcement, counterfeiting and drug offenses.
