Andy Carroll has landed his first manager’s job after YouTuber and entrepreneur KSI dismissed Lee Bradbury from his position as Dagenham & Redbridge manager.
The ruthless sacking occurred merely a fortnight after acquiring a stake in the National League South outfit.
The 50-year-old Bradbury was relieved of his duties on Wednesday afternoon, less than 24 hours after the Daggers secured a 3-2 away triumph at Farnborough.
The club released a statement expressing appreciation for the departing boss.
It read: “We are very grateful to Lee for his focus, professionalism, and commitment during his time at the Club and for his contributions, both on and off the pitch, to stabilise the club last summer.”
Former England international Carroll will take charge as a caretaker boss, the club confirmed in the same announcement.
The 37-year-old ex-Liverpool and Newcastle striker, who arrived at Victoria Road last summer following his departure from Bordeaux, has been unable to feature since mid-December due to injury.
Carroll also holds a minority shareholding in the club, having invested before KSI’s involvement was made public, adding an unusual dimension to his new role.

During his time on the pitch this season, the veteran forward netted six goals in 12 appearances for the Daggers, including a hat-trick.
Carroll’s baptism of fire in the dugout arrives on Saturday when Dagenham host Torquay United at Victoria Road.
The fixture presents a formidable challenge for the novice manager, as he will be pitted against Neil Warnock, the 77-year-old veteran who recently returned from retirement to take charge of the Gulls.
Warnock brings a wealth of experience to the encounter, having overseen more than 1,000 professional matches throughout his lengthy career in football management.

The seasoned boss himself is serving in an interim capacity at Torquay, having stepped in last month to guide the club towards promotion.
KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, has outlined ambitious plans for the sixth-tier club since his arrival as a shareholder and strategic partner.
The 32-year-old social media personality has declared his intention to eventually guide Dagenham to the top flight of English football.
Following his investment, he said: “I want to do the unthinkable. I want to take Dagenham and Redbridge to the Premier League.”

The Daggers currently sit in 12th place in the National League South.
They sit six points adrift of the play-off places.
KSI’s presence has already boosted the attendance.
The crowd for the Dorking Wanderers victory more than doubled compared to the previous home fixture.
