The Peshawar district administration on Monday imposed Section 144 across the city to maintain public safety and law and order during Ramazan and Eidul Fitr, officials said.
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Captain (retd) Sanaullah Khan, said, “The restrictions are aimed at protecting the lives and property of residents during the festive period.”
The orders come into immediate effect and will remain in force for 30 days. Authorities have appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace and safety during the festive season.

The administration warned that violators would face legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The measures include a ban on the display of weapons and ammunition, aerial firing, and the sale or display of fireworks.
One-wheeling, speeding, and riding motorcycles without helmets are also prohibited.
Overloading in boats and unsafe rides at amusement parks are banned, while swimming or bathing in dams and rivers without life jackets is restricted.
The use of heavy motorcycles with double or heavy silencers and sports cars is also prohibited.
