The Prince of Wales has posted a photo of Diana from the family’s private collection to mark Mother’s Day.

The picture shows William, aged two, with his mother in a field of blooming flowers, including poppies, at the family’s main home at Highgrove, Gloucestershire, in 1984.

He captioned the image shared on X: “Remembering my mother, today and every day.

“Thinking of all those who are remembering someone they love today. Happy Mother’s Day.”

The picture of him and Diana, Princess of Wales, which is believed to have not been shared publicly before, resembles one of King Charles with his sons William and Harry in a poppy field.

William was aged 15 when his mother Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
