Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac are stepping behind the microphones tonight for what Sky Sports is calling a “first-of-its-kind broadcast” as Wrexham host Swansea at the Racecourse Ground.
The Hollywood co-owners will provide live commentary on Sky Sports Football, with coverage kicking off at 7pm ahead of the 8pm start.
It’s a special occasion marking exactly five years since the pair took over the north Wales club.
Fans who prefer traditional coverage can tune into Sky Sports Main Event, where Daniel Mann and Andy Hinchcliffe will be on commentary duties.

“As with our decision to take over Wrexham five years ago, we genuinely have no idea how this is going to go, but we will give it our best,” the pair said when announcing the broadcast.
They added: “Neither of us have called a sporting event of any variety, let alone a sport we basically learned the rules of five years ago.”
And in typical fashion, they couldn’t resist a cheeky warning: “Either way, it will be another unpredictable day at the Racecourse and we can’t wait. We’re grateful to our partners at the EFL and Sky Sports, the latter of which we hope is ready with the bleep button.”
The transformation at Wrexham has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Since Reynolds and McElhenney bought the club for around £2 million in 2021, they’ve achieved something no other club in English football history has managed – three consecutive promotions.
That remarkable run took them from non-league football all the way to the Championship, where they currently sit sixth and are still in the hunt for an incredible fourth straight promotion.
Tuesday’s 2-1 home defeat to Hull ended a run of three successive league victories, but the play-off dream remains very much alive.
Their journey has been captured in Welcome to Wrexham, the documentary series that’s scooped 10 Emmy Awards and turned this Welsh club into a global phenomenon.

Tonight’s fixture marks Swansea’s first league trip to the Racecourse Ground since Wrexham thrashed them 4-0 back in 2002 in the old Division Three.
The Swans did get one over on Phil Parkinson’s side earlier this season, winning 2-1 at their own ground.
Swansea aren’t short on celebrity connections themselves – hip hop legend Snoop Dogg, AC Milan’s Luka Modric and Martha Stewart all hold minority stakes in the club.

Snoop made quite the impression when he turned up at the Swansea.com Stadium last month, with Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom noting there was a “smell of weed in the tunnel”.
