Drivers are being warned of lengthy delays on the M3 this morning as a result of a police presence on the motorway.
The M3 in Surrey remains closed eastbound between J4 (near Farnborough) and J3 (near Bracknell) due to a “police led incident”.
National Highways Traffic Officers are on the scene to deal with the flow of vehicles as the incident unfolds.
Surrey Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service are in attendance on the M3 this morning.
National Highways added: “Due to the nature of the incident, the road is expected to remain closed throughout the morning.”
Traffic cameras from the M3 show traffic cones across the eastbound carriageway with a police car blocking access to the route.

Data from National Highways suggests that traffic on the M3 eastbound will not return to normal levels until this afternoon.
It currently forecasts that the event is expected to clear between 12.15pm and 12.30pm, although this could be amended.
National Highways has launched a diversion route for motorists to follow to avoid the delays.
