The US former President has sent a heartily congratulatory message to the Seattle Seahawks after their landmark victory in Super Bowl XL 2026.
The Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 at Levi’s stadium in California and secured the Lombardi Trophy.
Seattle dominated the 2025 season and won the championship. They finished with 14 wins and 3 losses, taking the first spot in the NFC West.
The Seahawks’ success came from being great on both offense and defense. Talking about their offense, they were the third-best in the league. The team also led the league on defense, giving the fewest points to opponents.
Taking to X, Obama hailed the Seahawks’ triumph, “Congratulations to the Super Bowl champion @Seahawks! This defense was special. MVP Kenneth Walker was dominant.”
“And Sam Darnold gave us one of the best comeback stories in a long time. Enjoy the celebration,” the democrat added.
Now the players along with Sam Darnold are heading back to Seattle for a massive victory parade. The city and Super Bowl XL fans are getting ready for the huge crowd to welcome the trophy and to celebrate the big win downtown.
The Seahawks’ Super Bowl victory parade is expected to take place on Wednesday, February 11.
The parade will begin near Lumen Field and end at 4th Avenue and Cedar Street.
