Jake Paul faces a lengthy nine-month spell on the sidelines after suffering a double jaw fracture during his heavyweight clash with Anthony Joshua at Miami’s Kaseya Center.
The 28-year-old American was floored in the sixth round when the British former world champion, 36, landed a devastating right hand that ended the contest.
Medical assessments have revealed Paul sustained a parasymphysis fracture on the right side of his jaw alongside a separate fracture to the mandible body.
The influencer-turned-boxer shared an x-ray image with his 29 million Instagram followers confirming the extent of the damage inflicted by Joshua’s knockout punch.
While the initial bone injuries are anticipated to heal within approximately eight weeks, the recovery process extends far beyond this timeframe due to complications involving Paul’s teeth.
According to the Daily Mail, the fracture line passed through the roots of his teeth, necessitating dental implant surgery roughly three months after the bones have mended.
Following the implant procedure, Paul will likely require crowns to be fitted, a process that typically spans six to seven months.

Before departing for hospital, where he drove himself for surgery, Paul remained upbeat about his experience.
“I’m feeling good, that was fun, I love this sport,” he said.

“Jake Paul has done really well tonight, I want to give him his props,” the Briton said.
“He got up, time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept on trying to find a way through.”
