The maker of Grand Theft Auto has sparked outrage among its fan base after announcing the video game will be delayed again. 

Rockstar announced Friday that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be available until May 26, 2026. It was due to be out this fall.

The gamemaker did not provide details about what has caused the delay, but alluded to the idea that GTA 6 is not where the company hoped it would be.

‘With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception,’ Rockstar said in a statement.

‘We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.’
