Lorry fire causes havoc on motorway as drivers risk hours-long delays

Drivers are being warned of long delays along a key stretch of a busy motorway after a HGV blaze has forced the roads to close.

The M180 in Lincolnshire has been closed westbound between J4 Broughton Interchange (Lincoln A15; Scunthorpe (A18)) and J3 Midmoor Interchange (Scunthorpe (W) M181) due to a lorry fire.

National Highways is warning that the lorry fire on the hard shoulder has caused the roads to close, with Humberside Fire and Rescue dealing with the incident.
