Bohra community celebrates Eid

Mass gatherings see community prayers, festive greetings, and calls for national harmony

KARACHI:

The Bohra community, just like the rest of the country, celebrated Eidul Fitr in Karachi on Thursday with religious fervor and joyous gatherings. The largest congregation took place at Taheri Mosque in the Saddar area, where a large number of Bohra community members performed the Eid prayer.

Other notable gatherings were held in Pan Mandi, Soldier Bazaar, Baloch Colony, and Hyderi, bringing together community members to celebrate the occasion.

During the prayers, participants offered supplications for the well-being, safety, and prosperity of the country and its citizens. Special prayers were also made for the elimination of terrorism, national development, and overall prosperity.

After completing the Eid prayers, Bohra community members exchanged greetings and shared festive joy with one another.

The celebrations also reflected the community’s commitment to social harmony. Many participants distributed sweets and gifts among neighbours, spreading the spirit of Eid beyond their immediate families. Local markets around the prayer sites were also vibrant, with families buying traditional delicacies and festive clothing.
