Hollywood actors are gearing up for this year’s Oscars awards, which will honour the film industry’s finest stars and movies from the past 12 months.
As it currently stands, Michael B Jordan’s latest hit movie, Sinners, leads the way with a record 16 nominations across the board.
It has broken the record for the most nominations, which was previously held by All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997) and La La Land (2016).

Closing the gap is Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another with 13 nominations, while Marty Supreme, Frankenstein and Sentimental Value are next with nine, and Hamnet has eight.
Timothy Chalamet is amongst the stars who are up for an award for his role in Marty Supreme.
Chalamet will be battling it out against DiCaprio for his role in One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke for his role on Blue Moon, Mr Jordan in Sinners and Wagner Moura in The Secret Agent.
However, it seems the actor has already had his chances blown as recent odds have revealed it is not looking good.

Spokesman for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Timothee Chalamet looked all set for Oscars glory this weekend, but we have seen a significant shift in the Best Actor market with Michael B.
“Jordan shooting to the fore – the Sinners actor is now even-money to collect his first Oscar, riding a wave of momentum.
“Jordan had been trading at double figures for many weeks of this awards season but remarkably now tops the betting, seeing Chalamet drift to 11/10 having been odds-on.
“The market suggests it’s a two-horse race that will be too close to call between Jordan and Chalamet, with the next possible winners Ethan Hawke, Leonardo DiCaprio and Wagner Mouri all priced at 14/1.”
