EFL clash delayed due to embarrassing reason as both clubs issue statements

A League One clash between AFC Wimbledon and Bradford City has been delayed after the visitors’ team bus was late arriving at the stadium.

The Dons, who are battling relegation, were due to kick off against promotion-chasing Bradford at 3pm.

This timeframe has now been pushed back.

The home side released a statement confirming the news.

They wrote: “AFC Wimbledon v Bradford City has been delayed, as the Bradford team coach is delayed en route to the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

“The game will still take place, with a kick-off time being confirmed in due course.

“Team news has also been delayed and will be announced accordingly.”

Bradford City also took to social media to release their own statement.
