Paul McCartney‘s lookalike grandson, Elliot Donald has gone Instagram official with model girlfriend Stella Jones, who also happens to be the granddaughter of fellow music legend Mick Jones from The Clash. 

Stella, 23, shared a sweet snap of herself alongside handsome music scout Elliot, also 23, on Instagram on Valentine’s Day, with a love heart emoji caption.

The pair, who both live in New York, beamed for the camera with her in a yellow mini dress and him in an open-collared white shirt.

A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail: ‘They met through mutual friends. They’ve been dating for a while but were keeping it low key because Elliot is very private. They’re both so happy together and they make the perfect couple.’

Elliot is son of Paul’s photographer daughter Mary, 56, and her ex-husband Alistair Donald. Together they are are also parents to Arthur, 26, while she shares 17-year-old son Sam with second husband Simon Aboud. 

Meanwhile Stella’s father Mick, 70, was the co-lead vocalist, lead guitarist and co-founder of The Clash, the pioneering punk-rock band behind hits such as London Calling, Rock the Casbah and Should I Stay or Should I Go.

Elliot’s grandfather Sir Paul 83, is the most successful songwriter in pop music history whose whose era-defining work with The Beatles changed the face of popular culture.

Earlier this year, the young couple enjoyed a sunny holiday together with a group of friends to escape the cold wintry weather in New York.

Stella posted photos from the getaway on Instagram at the time, writing: ‘A reminder of life above 0 degrees.’ 

One photo showed the lovebirds sitting together on a boat, looking happy and relaxed in sunglasses, which was liked by Elliot’s mum Mary who is said to be a ‘huge fan’ of her son’s new girlfriend. 

Stella’s best friend Lila Moss, 23 – the model daughter of supermodel Kate Moss – also commented ‘Cheeeeky’ on the post while Stella’s sister Ava wrote: ‘U soooo cute.’

Stella, whose mother is Mick’s film producer wife Miranda Davis, has carved out an impressive modelling career and signed to Kate Moss Agency.

She had has modelled for the likes of H&M, Tommy Hilfiger and Prada, and walked the runway for Fendi.

Last year Sir Paul was every inch the proud grandfather this week as he watched his grandson graduate from New York University.

Elliot completed a four-year degree at the prestigious Gallatin School of Individualized Study, with his family showing up in force to support him at the ceremony.

The Beatles icon, 83, was joined by his wife Nancy, 66, and daughter Mary as they posed for a sweet family photo.

‘Couldn’t be prouder’, wrote Mary, who looked chic in an all-black ensemble.

In one of the snaps, the group are seen smiling together with Paul holding the purple graduation programme in one hand and giving a thumbs up with the other, clearly thrilled to be celebrating the family milestone.

Elliot worked as an A&R (artists and repertoire) and assistant to the Vice Chairman at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he spent six months at the renowned Jeff Koons Studio in New York as a research assistant, and previously interned at hospitality and property brand Artfarm in London. 

Macca never went to university himself – having launched his music career in his teens – but has received multiple honorary degrees. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree by the University of Sussex in 1988, and another by Yale University in 2008.

In 1996, he co-founded the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), housed in his former grammar school building, and was later made a Companion of LIPA in recognition of his contributions to arts education.

In a 2021 interview, The Beatles star revealed most of his eight grandchildren moan about him the playing the guitar around the house – because they would rather watch television. 

Paul told The Mirror: ‘Look, people come to see me, pay money, but you’re not even remotely interested.

‘And they say, “Grandad, look, do you mind? We’re watching this programme?” turning down a one-to-one gig with the eighteen-time Grammy winner.’

This is not the first time a McCartney grandson has been romantically linked with someone from another famous dynasty.

Elliot’s older brother Arthur previously dated Phoebe Gates, the 23-year-old daughter of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates.

The pair went public in late 2023 after being introduced through Arthur’s aunt, fashion designer Stella McCartney, but split last year. Phoebe has since moved on with high school sweetheart Chaz Flynn.
