At least nine dead in Canada mass shooting in British Columbia town

Two shootings, believed to be linked, in the rural Canadian town of Tumbler Ridge has left 10 people dead, including the suspected shooter. Prime Minister Mark Carney called the shooting “horrific” and has suspended a planned trip to Munich.

The 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, an NBC News presenter, has been missing since she was allegedly kidnapped – a man is now being questioned by law enforcement and a property is being searched. It comes after police released doorbell camera footage of an ‘armed individual’ on Tuesday.

Two boys, aged 12 and 13, are in a serious condition in hospital after Tuesday’s attack at Kingsbury High School in Brent, northwest London.
