The royal gifted an England football shirt bearing Harry Kane’s signature and worn by the Three Lions captain during the national team’s friendly match against Senegal on 10th June 2025.
The Prince of Wales spent Monday evening in wide-ranging discussions with the Crown Prince, covering numerous aspects of the bilateral relationship between Britain and Saudi Arabia.
Both London and Riyadh harbour hopes that this meeting between the two men, who have previously encountered one another, will foster a connection that could shape Anglo-Saudi relations for generations.

On Monday evening, the pair explored At-Turaif, a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated in Diriyah – the historic birthplace of the Saudi Kingdom.
Their 25-minute tour took them through the beautifully restored mud brick settlement, featuring a maze of traditional earthen dwellings, mosques, palace chambers and administrative buildings.
The Arabian Horse gallery proved the centrepiece of their visit, celebrating the rich heritage of purebred Arabian horses.
Following their exploration of the ancient site, the two royals engaged in formal discussions before concluding the evening with an intimate private dinner together.

A source close to the visit revealed the warmth of the Saudi reception: “They are delighted that he’s here. The fact that he’s a prince and the future king matters enormously. They want it to be a friendship that lasts.”
Prior to his departure from the UK, William consulted with his father, King Charles, who had undertaken multiple public and private trips to the kingdom over the years.
The Prince of Wales also received a comprehensive briefing from Stephen Hitchen, Britain’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Today marks the second day of the Prince of Wales’s Middle East tour, with William set to meet young Saudi girls developing their football abilities at Misk Sports City in Riyadh.
As president of the Football Association, he will learn about the expanding role of women in Saudi sport.
The heir to the throne will also inspect an Earthshot Prize-nominated initiative – the 83-mile Sports Boulevard connecting cycling routes, equestrian trails, green spaces and cultural sites throughout the capital.
This ambitious urban project supports Vision 2030’s quality-of-life objectives, which seek to establish Saudi Arabia as a global centre for business and culture by decade’s end.
