Meryl Streep and her onscreen husband Martin Short continued to fuel romance rumors by attending the opening of off-Broadway play This World of Tomorrow on Tuesday night.
The coy couple were supporting their famous friend Tom Hanks, who co-wrote and stars in the time-traveling drama which runs through December 21 at The Shed’s Griffin Theater in Manhattan.
Short, 75, and Streep, 76, looked happy and relaxed while chatting backstage with Hanks, 69, and their Only Murders in the Building creator-star Steve Martin.
The three-time Oscar winning actress and the Canadian comedian and actor, whose favorite date spot is Giorgio Baldi, were not looking for a relationship when they allegedly began dating in early 2024.
‘Meryl couldn’t help but fall for Martin. He is a gentleman, he keeps her laughing and is an all-around positive person. She loves being around him,’ an insider told Page Six on March 13.

Short has been single since tragically losing his wife Nancy Dolman, at age 58, in 2010 to ovarian cancer after 30 years of marriage and welcoming three adopted children.
