RAWALPINDI:
Dhamial Police have booked four suspects for allegedly gang-raping a married woman in the Dhok Amanat area.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the victim stated that she had married Mir Hamza four years ago after separating from her previous husband. A man named Danish, known to her husband, came to her home and persuaded her to accompany him under the pretext of obtaining a written consent from her husband’s cousin, Sonia.
Danish then took the victim and her husband, Mir Hamza, in a Suzuki pickup to the house of a man named Amanat Safir. They were seated in one room, whereupon Danish, Safir, and two other armed unidentified men entered. The armed men took Mir Hamza to another room while the suspects forcibly assaulted the victim. A fourth suspect also attempted to assault her.
The suspects fled after the victim raised an alarm. Safir’s father came out of the room after hearing the commotion. The suspects also took the victim’s mobile phone with them.
The victim has requested that her mobile phone be recovered and that legal action be taken against the suspects for the forcible assault. Police officials stated that the victim is undergoing medical examination, and teams have been formed to apprehend the suspects.
