Man, 38, involved in Leeds crossbow incident which seriously injured two women has died | UK News

A man being investigated by counter terror police after he was reportedly seen with weapons in Leeds has died in hospital, police have said.

The 38-year-old man was detained after an incident involving a crossbow and a firearm left two women, aged 19 and 31, seriously injured on Saturday.

Police were called to Otley Road in Headingley to reports of a “serious incident involving a man seen with weapons”, West Yorkshire Police said.

The suspect – who was found with a self-inflicted injury – has been named as Owen Lawrence from Leeds.
