MAGA movie star Dennis Quaid reveals help he gave his undocumented housekeeper ahead of Trump election win

Dennis Quaid recently revealed how he helped his housekeeper obtain a green card amid fears of being deported during Donald Trump‘s first term.

The Parent Trap star told Piers Morgan the woman is now pursuing full citizenship after going undocumented for decades.

‘She was really afraid of Trump getting elected because she would be thrown out of the country, she thought. She lived in fear,’ he recalled.

The two had been speaking about Trump’s recent deportation raids.

The conversation occurred late last month on Morgan’s show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.

‘And I said, “What we have to do, Josie, is we have to do things right,”‘ the A-lister revealed.

‘So I sponsored her. We went through the process, we got her documented, we got her a green card, in fact, to be here. And she is going for her citizenship.’

It happened during Trump’s first whirlwind campaign.

For years, she used her sister’s driver’s license in order to get around, Quaid added.

‘We need to come together as a country. We don’t have to agree on everything, but we do have to start talking to one another,’ he said. 

The 71-year-old, who classifies himself as an independent, endorsed Trump during the 2024 election. At the time, he billed the commander-in-chief as the best president since Ronald Reagan.

He called him his ‘favorite president of the 21st century’ at a rally in California last year.

The LA-based star also told Fox News that April that his ‘life is paradise’ after tying the knot with his fourth wife, 34-year-old Laura Savoie, in 2020.

‘It was beautiful,’ Quaid told People about the low-profile wedding, held at a seaside resort in Santa Barbara. ‘Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride.’

Quaid split with his third wife, Kimberly Buffington, in 2016. He was also married to Meg Ryan for nearly ten years in the early 2000s.

Quaid shares three children with the two woman, including adult son Jack and teenage twins Thomas and Zoe.

He made a surprise appearance on Dancing with the Stars last week, to watch his Parent Trap costars Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter perform.

The Hollywood mainstay also fronts a band, Dennis Quaid and The Sharks.
