The suspect in the Liverpool parade collision was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs, Merseyside Police said

The 53-year-old was described as white British and from the Liverpool area.

Police say 11 people who were still being treated in hospital are recovering well.

They also revealed the car followed an ambulance after a road block was lifted so paramedics could help a man who had a suspected heart attack.

Detectives have said the incident is not being treated as terror-related, and no further suspects are being sought.
