Kim Kardashian was reduced to tears as she admitted that she was having a ‘mental breakdown’ just over a week before she was set to take the bar exam on the latest episode of The Kardashians.

After her family threw her a surprise law school graduation that was marred by her fighting sons and her sniping sister Kourtney, Kim was focused on studying for the next essential step in her journey to becoming a lawyer: taking the bar exam.

But the 45-year-old reality star began sobbing as she admitted that a devastating injury was making it difficult to study in the final days before the test, which she later admitted she had failed, shortly before the public results were to be announced.

Kim was seated in her office, wearing black pajamas and typing away at her computer when a Kardashians producer noted that the bar exam was next week.

Kim stopped to think and calculated that there were just nine days left until she would take the test.

She said she had taken a three-hour practice test first thing that morning, after spending three hours on another practice test the day before.

‘I feel like I’ve got to give this up. I know this,’ Kim said as she tried to bolster her confidence.

Suddenly, she admitted, ‘I’ve hit a wall.

‘I’m, like, absolutely gonna cry because it’s, like, f***ing exhausting,’ Kim said as her face crumpled and tears began to well up in her eyes.

‘I threw my back out,’ Kim confessed. ‘It’s, like, every time I think I get to another step, something pulls me back. There’s all these f***ing roadblocks.’

As her voice cracked, she claimed she wasn’t normally a ‘pity-party kind of girl.’

‘But last night I was, like, “Why the f*** is this happening?”‘ she continued over footage of herself looking tired and pained from the previous evening. ‘I can hardly walk. I can hardly f***ing sit and I don’t know why I have all these back problems.’

She added that her back was ‘really out,’ and she feared she wouldn’t be able to sit in her chair when it was time to take the bar.

Kim recalled people warning her that everyone has a ‘mental breakdown’ before they take the bar, and now she felt like she was having her own breakdown.

Kim said she 'really wanted' to pass the bar, but she also worried that it might be her last chance if she were to fail, because she might be too busy to take it again for a few years, and she feared her 'brain capacity' would be reduced when she was older

‘I just knew that wasn’t me, ’cause I’m not, like, that person, but I get it,’ she admitted.

‘It’s, like, really a lot. Now I really get,’ Kim said through her tears. ‘I had no clue it was going to be this emotional.’

The shapewear mogul added that she didn’t think she could get any more information into her brain after years of studying and learning.

She assumed she would be too busy and wouldn’t be able to take it again for at least a few years, and she feared that her ‘brain capacity’ would be diminished when she was older.

Kim added at the end of the scene that she didn’t consider herself a particularly good test taker.

‘Over six years of my life that I’ve been studying for comes down to this one test…’ Kim said, adding that the thought of not passing after all that work was ‘terrifying.’

In the preview for next week’s season finale, Kim finally confronted her fears and took the bar exam.

However, after taking the test in July, she revealed in November that she had failed the test.

California, along with most other states, publicly posts a list of people who took and passed the bar exam, so her failure would have become public knowledge shortly after she admitted failing.

‘Well…I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,’ she began her social media post, referencing her new Hulu series All’s Fair.

Despite fearing she only had one chance to pass the bar, Kim was adamant about not giving up her dreams of becoming a lawyer.

‘Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.’

Kim then sent gratitude to those who have ‘supported and encouraged me along the way so far.’
