Khloe Kardashian is opening up about a painful memory from her marriage to Lamar Odom, one that ultimately made her stop journaling altogether.
On the Nov. 19 episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, Khloe shared that she once kept journals filled with years of her thoughts and experiences.
But she revealed she hasn’t written in one “in years,” and there’s a heartbreaking reason why.
“I used to love to journal,” she said, explaining that she had several books documenting her life.
But during a difficult period in Lamar’s life, she said he became paranoid and fixated on those journals.
According to Khloe, he found them and “was just convinced that I was taking notes and sending them to the government or something crazy.”
What happened next stayed with her.
Khloe recalled that Lamar threw all of the journals into a fire right in front of her. “I remember sobbing, tears streaming down my face,” she shared. “It was years of my life in these journals! They meant so much to me.”
She described falling to her knees in their master bedroom, screaming as she watched them burn. That moment, she said, completely changed her relationship with writing.
“That was the last time I journaled, because I just felt like, ‘Wow, that was taken away in a f–king blink.’ What was the point?”
Khloe’s story comes shortly after Lamar posted cryptic throwback photos of the pair, captioned with reflective messages such as “grace carried me when strength couldn’t” and “pain doesn’t scare me anymore.”
The former couple, married for seven years, briefly reunited earlier this year on The Kardashians, marking their first on-screen moment together since their 2016 divorce.
