Kevin Spacey has revealed that he is currently homeless and ‘living in hotels’ as he admits his financial situation is ‘not great’.

Just two years ago, the actor was cleared of sexual assault allegations against four men during a UK trial in 2023.

He has since struggled to get work and has passionately spoken out about his ‘cancellation’ in Hollywood.

At the time of the allegations he was living in Baltimore, Maryland, where he had been based for 12 years.

But in a new interview he has told The Telegraph that he lost his house and is now ‘living in Airbnbs and hotels’.

He told the publication: ‘The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.

‘You get through it. In weird ways, I feel I’m back to where I first started, which is I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again.

‘I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain.’

Asked what his financial situation is he replied: ‘Not great’, but added that in terms of bankruptcy, ‘it never got to that point’.

Since 2017, more than 30 men accused the two-time Oscar-winning actor of sexual assault or inappropriate behaviour, which led to Netflix axing his role on House of Cards. He denied all allegations.

In July 2023, the American Beauty star was found not guilty of assaulting four men after a four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court, in one of the UK’s most high-profile #MeToo trials.

He has since been preparing to sing in a big band at a Cyprus resort in an ambitious bid to claw back his showbusiness career.

This week the disgraced Hollywood outcast performed for one night at the Parklane Luxury Collection Resort in Limassol, Cyprus.

Tickets for his ‘Songs & Stories’ performance were priced from £220, with a £1,100 VIP package including a 30-minute meet-and-greet photo opportunity, bottle of champagne and fruit platter, according to The Sun

The Oscar-winner was backed by a jazz band and told tales from his showbusiness career in between performing songs.

Organisers said ahead of the event: ‘With the elegance of Sinatra, the wit of Dean Martin, and a career that spans decades of unforgettable performances, Spacey brings a voice and presence that’s simply unmatched.

‘This is not just a concert. It’s not just an evening of stories.

‘It’s the return of an entertainer in the grandest sense of the word—for one night only in Limassol’s most prestigious venue.’

The 90-minute event took place on November 15 with guests being told to wear ‘cocktail attire’.

Spacey previously portrayed crooner Bobby Darin in 2004 biopic Beyond The Sea, and sang on stage at Madison Square Garden with Billy Joel.

Spacey returned to the spotlight in May this year to collect a Lifetime Achievement Award at a gala in Cannes following claims the director was not welcome at the film festival.

The controversial actor, who was cleared of sexual assault on four men two years ago, took the opportunity to slam ‘blacklisting’ in Hollywood.

Spacey was honoured at a gala hosted by the Better World Fund as he continued his return to the public eye after a lengthy UK trial in 2023 which cleared him of the allegations.

He was ‘recognised not only for his decades of artistic brilliance but also his enduring impact on cinema and the arts,’ according to a statement.

The gala was not an official part of the French film festival but the Carlton Hotel plays host to much of the activities during the prestigious event in Cannes.

The Telegraph reported that the film festival had not extended an invitation to Spacey and organisers have denied any involvement with the actor.

A statement by the event’s organisers said he was attending an event with ‘no affiliation whatsoever to the festival’.

The decision to celebrate Spacey by Better World Fund, a charity which aims to make a ‘positive impact on the world’, sparked outrage, with many calling it a ‘disgrace’ to the MeToo movement.
