Kendall Jenner has swapped runways for a roaring furnace this holiday season.
The supermodel, 30, revealed she has taken up glassblowing – an intricate and potentially dangerous craft that involves working with molten glass heated to temperatures exceeding 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Over the weekend, the Vogue cover girl shared several behind-the-scenes pictures and videos of the process with her 285 million Instagram followers.
In the images, Jenner appeared fully immersed in the industrial studio setting as she carefully shaped glowing orange glass fresh from the furnace.
At one point, she was seen guiding the molten material on the end of a long metal blowpipe, while another close-up showed the searing-hot glass resting in a shaping tool as it cooled.
Glassblowing is a centuries-old art form that requires precise timing, steady hands and constant movement to prevent the glass from collapsing or cracking.

The extreme heat poses serious risks, including severe burns, eye damage and heat-related injuries, which is why strict safety measures are essential.
Jenner appeared to follow protocol, wearing oversized black safety goggles to protect her eyes from the heat and flying shards, along with thick, heat-resistant protective gloves designed to withstand direct exposure to hot tools and glass.
She also opted to wear a practical outfit, consisting of a blue-and-green plaid flannel shirt layered over a white T-shirt, paired with dark denim jeans and black work boots suitable for the workshop floor.
Her hair was pulled back into a low ponytail to keep it safely away from open flames and equipment.
Glassblowing requires artisans to repeatedly reheat and shape the glass while rotating the blowpipe, ensuring even distribution of heat.
A single misstep can cause the glass to shatter or drip, making protective gear and professional supervision crucial, particularly for beginners.
Jenner did not caption the posts with details about the project itself, but the images suggest she was participating in a hands-on session rather than simply observing as she, later, showed off a small, homemade drinking glass.
Her unexpected hobby comes as Jenner continues to show interest in hands-on creative pursuits outside of fashion and beauty.

In 2020, she revealed she converted her movie theater room into an art studio.
While talking about her love of painting, the 818 Tequila founder said it helped relive her stress and was a ‘form of therapy.’
‘My life involves a lot of chaos and travel and high energy, so I wanted a home that feels serene, a place where I can simply zone out and relax,’ she told Architectural Digest of her space.
She continued: ‘I’m not a huge party person. There aren’t a lot of ragers going on here. I like turning on music, lighting the fireplace and candles, and watching NBA games with my friends.’
In addition to art, horseback riding has been a lifelong hobby and passion for Jenner.
