Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos‘s son Michael was the spitting image of his dad in family photos shared on Instagram this week.

The 55-year-old morning show host celebrated 25 years on her ABC show Live with Kelly and Mark in a carousel post on Friday.

And the couple’s 28-year-old son Michael appeared in several snapshots, bearing a striking resemblance to his dad, 54.

Consuelos wore a black suit with a matching crew neck shirt in the festive post.

Meanwhile, Michael was similarly dressed in a gray suit and button-up black shirt.

In addition to Michael, the longtime couple also share son Joaquin, 22, and daughter Lola, 24.

Both Consuelos and his son were clean shaven as they helped Ripa mark her milestone achievement.

And their dark hair was cut short, with Michael’s slicked over to one side as he wore transparent-framed eyeglasses.

He surprised his mom during Friday’s Live with Kelly and Mark broadcast as she hosted her 6,000th show.

The couple’s firstborn child brought flowers, and Consuelos pointed out that he was four years old when Ripa first joined the show as co-host alongside the late Regis Philbin.

Recalling his memories from his appearances on the show, he shared, ‘There’s so many, but if I had to narrow it down to just a handful, I’d say the swamp tour in Louisiana where I threw the snake on you.

‘That was pretty good. That was pretty awesome.’

He also said ‘the cooking segments, all the family holiday specials we did together’ and ‘winning the golden wiener’ were memorable.

Ripa was grateful for her son’s presence as she remarked: ‘I’m just looking at you and I’m like, “I can’t believe you’re here.” It’s such a nice surprise.’

In 2021 Michael made a guest appearance on the CW teen drama Riverdale to play a younger version of his dad’s character Hiram Lodge. He’d previously played the role briefly in 2018.

Speaking to People magazine about the opportunity, he said, ‘Working on Riverdale was a bucket list moment for me.

‘Acting opposite my dad was such a surreal experience, but we both had the BEST time and I really enjoyed getting to walk around in Hiram’s shoes.’

In 2025 the young actor worked with both of his parents on a scripted audio series called Summer Breeze.

The soap opera-inspired show was produced via Ripa and Consuelos’s entertainment company Milojo Productions.

Michael told Smashing Interviews Magazine about joining forces with his mom and dad, ‘I think what was really fun was that they were very hands off about the whole thing. They let me do my own things with the character. It was a really amazing collaborative experience, I think.’
