Katie Price is said to be enjoying a small victory after learning that her ex-husband Peter Andre and his wife Emily have been pulled from Princess’s show, a decision that has reportedly delighted the reality star.
For context, Princess Andre, the daughter of Peter Andre and former glamour model Katie Price, made her solo reality TV debut in August with The Princess Diaries.
However, Princess later revealed that the show has now been renewed for a second and third series and she has reportedly asked her father and stepmother to step back from their involvement in the programe.
While Peter is said to be shocked by the move, Princess’s decision has reportedly pleased her mother, Katie.
An insider told Closer, ‘Katie pals say she’s absolutely revealling in it. She feels like she’s finally had the last laugh. After years of feeling like Peter always got the upper hand, this has given her a real sense of payback. She loves seeing Pete humiliated.
‘Katie would never admit it publicly, but behind the scenes, she’s been smirking. She sees it as her quiet revenge-a moment where she’s come out on top with a small victory. She’s enjoying the fact that, for once, things have not fallen in Peter’s favour.’
There is also a background to the situation. Katie previously claimed she felt ‘disrespected’ and ‘disregarded’ after being excluded from the show, alleging that Pete and his management team considered her ‘trash.’
‘They have made it clear, they won’t allow Princess to do photoshoots with me. They won’t allow me to go to any events with Princess, because they think I am trash basically.
‘Now, everyone knows she’s my daughter. So, what difference does it make? If it wasn’t for me or Pete, Princess and Junior wouldn’t be known anyone. And I find it an insult as I have been in the industry for 30 years.’
For those unfamiliar, Katie and Peter split in 2009.
