The New York Jets placed star receiver Garrett Wilson on injured reserve with a knee injury ahead of Thursday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Wilson will miss four games in total, but he will be eligible to return for the 2-7 Jets against the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 14.
The 25-year-old Ohio State product is said to have aggravated a previous knee injury.
The Jets’ decision corroborates a previous report by ESPN’s Rich Cimini, which irked Jets head coach Aaron Glenn on Tuesday.
Glenn refused to discuss his team’s injury list with reporters after Cimini reported Wilson would miss three to four weeks with his knee injury. Cimini added that Wilson will not require surgery.
Displeased with ESPN’s report, Glenn spent Tuesday referring all injury questions to Cimini, who wasn’t in attendance.

‘I’m going to pass on talking about injuries, since Rich — he’s not here — has all the answers. So, you guys can get all the injuries from Rich.’
Things only got more bizarre from there.
Asked about another player’s injury status, Glenn told the reporter to ‘ask Rich.’
‘I’m asking you,’ the reporter responded. ‘Well, I’m telling you to ask Rich,’ Glenn replied. ‘He’s not here, though,’ another added.
When a reporter explained the significance of hearing injury news from the coach, Glenn remained unmoved.
‘You guys have been hearing [injury reports] from me, but now since we’re just reporting stuff that I haven’t said, then maybe you should ask him,’ Glenn said.
At that point, the Jets’ PR team ended the tense press conference so Glenn could head off to practice.
