New dashcam footage shows the horrifying moment an illegal immigrant allegedly driving under the influence slammed his truck into a row of traffic, killing three.
Jashanpreet Singh, 21, was speeding down the I-10 Freeway in California earlier this week while high on drugs when he crashed into a strip of stopped cars, causing an eight-vehicle pileup.
Three people, including a Pomona High School basketball coach and his wife, died. Four others were taken to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.
Dashcam footage showed the moment the migrant, who illegally entered the US three years ago, lost control.
The terrifying video showed the semi-truck smashing into the back of a white SUV, before causing another car and a red sedan to collide. The sedan then erupted into a fireball as it was pushed into another semi-truck.
Singh’s semi then drifted through several lanes of traffic, smashed into utility trucks on the side of the road and came to a stop.
The migrant, who lives in Yuba City, was arrested at the scene for being under the influence and for vehicular manslaughter.
The suspect has been booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga to await charges.

Melugin reported on X that ICE placed a detainer request on Singh, which would allow the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office to hold him past the normal release time.
‘He was eventually transported to the hospital, and he was checked out by the medical staff, and our officers determined he was driving under the influence of drugs,’ California Highway Patrol Officer Rodrigo Jiminez told ABC7.
Witness Jason Calmelat saw the whole crash from a parking lot facing the freeway.
He told KTLA: ‘The red truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when everyone else was stopped.
‘He didn’t hit his brakes, he didn’t try to slow down, he just went full force into the back of another truck, crushing two other cars.’
Singh illegally entered the US via the Southern border in March 2022 and was released by Border Patrol pending an immigration hearing, Fox News reported.
The Department of Homeland Security said Singh currently does not have a lawful immigration status.

Singh benefited from former President Joe Biden’s ‘alternatives to detention’ policy, where migrants were released pending immigration hearings.
Last week, another illegal migrant, Borko Stankovic, 41, originally of Serbia, was also driving a semi-truck when he turned onto oncoming traffic and killed driver Jeffrey Eberly.
Stankovic has been in the US since 2011.
