KARACHI:

The city’s art scene came alive with a series of cultural events, highlighted by the inauguration of French artist Chifumi’s mural “Karachi Blooms” – a dynamic theatre performance, and a musical extravaganza by South Korean artists on the 25th day of the World Culture Festival. The day featured mural art, theatre, Iranian cinema and South Korean musical performance.

The mural, painted on the Arts Council building, is the culmination of ten days of dedicated work by Chifumi.

The day began with a fine arts workshop led by Burkina Faso’s Adjaratou Ouedraogo, who shared her journey of self-taught artistry and encouraged students to express stories through colour. Renowned painter Shahid Rassam and numerous art school students attended the session.

Next, American theatre actress Bonnie J Evans conducted a workshop for Theatre Academy students.
