A former AFL star worth more than $200million is putting his incredible property, labelled as one of Australia’s most lavish, up for auction.

The 8888-square-metre Gold Coast mega mansion, located at 160 Tallai Road, Tallai, boasts 10 bedrooms, a private fun park and a Manhattan-inspired whisky bar.

Brad Moran, who quit AFL football at just 24 years of age in 2011, sold the software company he launched after his retirement in 2021.

His start-up business, CitrusAd, was sold to French multinational advertising and public relations firm Publicis Groupe for a whopping $205million.

Moran subsequently used a large portion of the money from the sale to fund the development of the incredible mansion.

The property is zoned into three clear wings – private quarters, entertainment, and sky residences – with the design attempting to cater for multiple generations to be able to live under the same roof.

Moran bought the property for $7million after selling his business in 2021, seeking a passion project.

The former North Melbourne and Adelaide star, and his wife Alicia, have spent four years transforming the already-flashy home into one of Australia’s premiere properties.

Indoors, it has a private cinema and a soundproof poker room.

Its main residence, spanning 2240 square metres, is joined by three self-contained guest houses and also a 110m go-kart track.

Moran spent two years living at the mansion while he was renovating.

But he knew quickly it wouldn’t become his family’s long-term place of residence.

The property’s features extend to a basketball court, golf driving range, infinity edge pool takes and a wellness wing.

It also boasts a glass-fronted nine-car gallery that features an integrated turntable mechanism which disappears completely and shows off every angle of the vehicles as they revolve like they’re in a showroom.

Moran played 21 AFL games before injury forced him to retire prematurely.

But he has bounced back in incredible style, with the sale of his tech business seeing him earn 100 times more than what he made in his football career.

The mansion has been listed for auction on November 28.

Its sale is going through Kollosche real estate agents Michael Kollosche and Jamie Harrison, with the current price record for a Queensland property standing at $42million.
