Visibility drops to as low as 50 metres, affecting flight movements at airport, nearby localities

Dense fog enveloped Karachi and the surrounding areas on Thursday morning, partially disrupting flight operations at Jinnah International Airport, delaying and cancelling several domestic and international flights.

Visibility dropped to as low as 50 meters, affecting flight movements at the airport and in nearby areas, including Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Malir, and DHA Phase 8.

At least 10 incoming and outgoing flights were delayed due to the fog. At the same time, several domestic and international services were rescheduled for later in the day, with some shifted to evening schedules as low visibility persisted.
