Walsall have sacked Mat Sadler as manager following a dramatic collapse in form.
The Saddlers dismissed their boss after securing just a single victory from their previous 11 fixtures, seeing the League Two club plummet down the standings having been top of the table at Christmas.
They have experienced four defeats in their last five outings, including a loss at Salford on Tuesday evening.
Co-chairman Ben Boycott released a statement following the dismissal.
He said: “I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the significant efforts and contributions of Mat, both as a professional and as a person, during his time at the club.
“We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him the very best for the future.”
The club now find themselves in 11th position.
Sadler took charge in May 2023 and delivered remarkable success.
