The Philadelphia Eagles have boosted their chances of winning another Super Bowl by trading for Baltimore Ravens defensive star Jaire Alexander.

The Eagles have sent a 2026 sixth-round draft pick to the Ravens in exchange for Alexander and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick.

The reigning Super Bowl champions are on a bye this week but have a 6-2 record and are fancied to win the NFC again this year.

Veteran cornerback Alexander only signed with the Ravens in the summer but had a disastrous debut and has barely been used by John Harbaugh since.

In fact, he has only got onto the field once in their last seven games. He was a healthy scratch once again for the Ravens’ win over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman has been looking to make defensive moves before the trade deadline on Tuesday.

He’s now brought in Alexander, who was a first-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2018 NFL draft.

There is every chance his first game for the Eagles is against the Packers when they travel to Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football next week.

In seven seasons with the Packers, Alexander made 12 interceptions and 37 pass defenses while earning All-Pro honors.

But he was plagued by injuries and only played 34 of a possible 68 regular-season games in his final four years.

The Packers chose to release him this offseason and he then signed a one-year, $4million contract with the Ravens a few days later.
