There may have been no wedding ring, but as she stared adoringly at her husband, Jordyn Blum showed no sign of the heartbreaking pain of his infidelity.
For just one year after their marriage was rocked by his explosive lovechild revelation, Blum cemented herself as the supportive wife, steadfast by Dave Grohl‘s side as he was honored for his volunteering at a charity gala last weekend.
The couple, coordinated in black outfits, clearly thought it was time to go public again – but despite the united front, we are told Grohl is still on ‘thin ice.’
Insiders have exclusively told the Daily Mail how the once beleaguered spouses have worked hard to overhaul their marriage, enduring months of counselling sessions and implementing strict rules to allow Blum, 49, to keep tabs on her philandering spouse, 56, in a desperate bid to rebuild trust.
‘Jordyn was shocked and publicly embarrassed when she found out about his cheating,’ one insider told us. ‘But despite most of her friends advising her to divorce Dave, she decided not to do anything rash.
‘After careful consideration they entered couples therapy for around six months. It helped them to get to the good place they’re at now.’

Their seemingly solid marriage – and Grohl’s ‘nicest guy in rock image’ – were shattered in September 2024 when the Foo Fighters frontman revealed he had secretly fathered a fourth daughter with an undisclosed woman, later identified as rock ‘n’ roll fan Jennifer Young.
‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,’ he wrote in a shock statement posted to Instagram. ‘I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.
‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.’
That trust seemed hard to build, with Grohl and Blum soon pictured without their wedding rings amid reports that the rocker had consulted a divorce attorney.
But for now, at least it seems, divorce is not on the cards – on the proviso that Grohl abides by Blum’s list of conditions.
‘When this happened, it hit the fan and they almost split up,’ a second insider told us. ‘She gave a whole list of conditions to stay together. She now has his location on her phone. She knows where he is and what he’s doing. She can look at his phone at any time. But it goes both ways, she shares her location as well. They keep tabs on each other.
‘Dave started keeping more normal hours. Spending the night at home rather than on the road. He knows that she can – and has – surprised him with visits when he’s traveling. It’s a very short leash. The boundaries have not loosened up – he’s still very much on thin ice.’
Blum was reportedly behind Grohl’s decision to come clean about his infidelity, but with that came a maelstrom of interest in their private life and a frenzied hunt to identify the woman who had fractured their 27-year marriage.

An Instagram user with the name @valeriegreyston posted a picture of a baby, allegedly called ‘Roxie Junie Grohl,’ who they claimed was Grohl’s lovechild. It was quickly refuted by his team who branded it ‘fake news’.
As if that wasn’t enough, Blum was also forced to weather renewed speculation into his relationship with porn website founder Annaliese Neilsen, with her former friends telling the Daily Mail that they had had a 15-year affair.
Addressing the claims, Neilsen, who denied being the mother of his love child, told the Post: ‘That is a person who I had a brief friendship with who I know through friends of friends.’
Blum was in a state of confusion over Grohl’s actions which blindsided fans and led to the Foo Fighters taking a hiatus. Sources previously told us that she was being consoled by Kate Hudson and that a group of four of her closest girlfriends were ‘so seriously worried’ about her that they staged an intervention.
Grohl and Blum were rarely seen in the intervening months before Sunday night’s fundraiser which marked their first joint red carpet since the fallout. They were pictured together at Wimbledon in July, and with their daughters Violet, 19, Harper, 16, and Ophelia, 11, at a meal to celebrate Blum’s 49th birthday back in May.
It was their children who reportedly helped the former MTV producer to give their musician father a second chance.
‘They played a big part in their reconciliation, and persuading them to start counselling,’ said the first insider. ‘It’s taken over a year but they’re a pretty tight family unit again. Jordyn is managing to let go of the trust issues she had with Dave.’
The couple met in 2001 and married at their Los Angeles home in August 2003.

Grohl, who has often been described as a ‘family man,’ has talked frequently over the years about how important family has been for him, claiming his wife and children are the ‘anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.’
Prior to meeting Blum, Grohl’s checkered rock star past was plagued with rumors – and admissions – of infidelity.
He divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to cheating. Reflecting on their three-year marriage in 1999, he said: ‘I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married.’
He then dated Louise Post from the band Veruca Salt – who accused him of cheating on her with a handful of women.
For Blum, the infidelity was not enough to break them, and she is now focusing on returning to the ‘life they had before,’ but with ‘no real wish to see Dave’s new child’ only time will tell if they’ll be able to navigate his new co-parenting duties.
‘Dave has a presence in his daughter’s life, and he has set up her financially. He has limited contact with Jennifer, but things are amicable. He does spend time with the baby when he can, and a time-sharing plan has been set up. Jennifer has the baby most of the time.
‘The plan is that their daughter will grow up knowing her half-siblings.’
Or other insider added: ‘Jordyn has no relationship with Jennifer, and doesn’t care to. She has to have a relationship with his daughter, and she doesn’t resent that. It was a pretty huge betrayal, and even Dave acknowledges that. He knows that she deserved to be angry. So we’ll see where it goes, but for now they’re thriving.’
