ISLAMABAD:

DPM/FM Senator Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review infrastructural facilities at Karachi’s ports, emphasizing modernization, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in port operations.

The meeting was attended by the Minister for Maritime Affairs, Secretaries of Maritime and Finance, as well as chairmen of KPT and Port Qasim Authority, a DPM’s Office news release said.

The participants reviewed the recent modernization initiatives that have improved cargo handling capacity and reduced transaction costs. Discussions also focused on integrating advanced IT and engineering solutions to further streamline port operations.
