Police authorities have suspended two policemen from service after a video showing both allegedly assaulting another civilian at Balakot police station has gone viral on social media.

The District Police Officer (DPO) of Mansehra suspended two officers said to be involved in the incident and issued charge sheets against them.

The development follows an earlier incident, just two days ago, in which a police official at the same station allegedly shot dead TikToker Javed Ali, also known as Mahandri.

The latest controversy arose after footage surfaced online purportedly showing the assault of a young resident of Paras, identified as Shehryar.
