Charli XCX excites fans with major surprise after releasing ‘House’

Charli XCX has put her own spin on Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, for the Emerald Fennell adaptation, and she is slowly letting fans into the world they have built together.

The 33-year-old pop superstar took to Instagram on Thursday, November 13, and revealed exciting news for fans, writing, “My new song Chains of Love for Emerald Fennell’s ‘Wuthering Heights.’”

The Apples hitmaker released the song without prior announcement, and it is available to stream now, and will soon be accompanied by a music video.

Charli not only announced the song release, but also shared that the songs will be followed by a 12-song album, all originals that she created for Wuthering Heights.

The 365 songstress added that Wuthering Heights, the album, will be released on February 13th, 2026.

Excited fans flocked to the comments, and one wrote, “it’s giving true romance but with the 2025 budget, we won,” referring to Charli’s 2013 album.

Another echoed, “We’re getting Romantic and gothic as hell thank god,” and “SO EXCITEDDDD,” chimed in a third.

While others gushed, “IVE BEEN WAITINF FOR THIS,” and “AHHH WHAT I DIDN’T KNOW IT WAS A WHOLE ALBUM.”

Fennell’s film starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, as Brontë’s seminal characters, is scheduled to be released on February 13th, the same day as Charli’s album.
