Hair stylist to the stars, Jenn Lagron, is in intensive care having suffered life-changing injuries after being struck by a drunk driver while she was out walking on Sunday.

‘This is every hairstylist’s nightmare,’ wrote her friend Brandon Pietsch on a GoFundMe page launched in her name to help fund medical bills, physical therapy, rent, and daily living expenses.

‘Jenn suffered devastating injuries, including a severely damaged arm – the very arm she relies on for her career as a hairstylist – and a fractured vertebrae in her neck.’

Lagron has been trusted by stars like Chrissy Teigen, Ellie Goulding, Hayley Kiyoko, Claire Kittle, and Kristin Juszczyk to for their hair.

Lagron’s story has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit beauty and celebrity community.

Within hours of the accident, fashion designer Kristin Juszczyk, wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, took to Instagram to rally support.

‘My girl @jennlagron was hit by a drunk driver last night. Sick to my stomach,’ she wrote alongside a heartfelt video of Jenn styling her hair.

‘She is the most amazing person and incredibly talented hair artist. She’s going to have a long road to recovery so truly anything will help.’

The fundraiser is now surging with donations and messages of support and by Tuesday afternoon, it had raised more than $51,000 toward its $60,000 goal.

Pietsch offered frequent updates for the many followers now invested in her recovery.

‘She just got out of surgery for her broken vertebrae and is feeling a bit better,’ he shared shortly after her first operation.

‘It was successful with no complications… She’ll be having another surgery tomorrow to address her arm.’

That second surgery has since been completed, and while doctors are optimistic, the road ahead remains long and uncertain.

‘Her surgery went well last night – everything went according to plan,’ read Tuesday’s update.

‘Jenn is resting today after starting physical therapy. We are so grateful for the success of both of her surgeries and are hopeful for a strong recovery ahead.’

One heartbreaking detail from the update revealed the extent of the nerve damage in Jenn’s arm with doctors forced to replace nerves using tissue from her leg.

She will now spend an extended period in a wheelchair and faces at least a year of intensive rehabilitation, during which she will be unable to work or support herself financially.

‘Jenn has always been a light in the lives of everyone around her,’ the GoFundMe page reads. ‘Now she needs our help more than ever… Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to Jenn.’

Lagron, who built her reputation on making others feel beautiful and confident appears to have an affection for her clients.

‘I truly feel like I have the most incredible clients who make me strive to be my best, not only professionally but personally as well… They hold such a special place in my heart,’ she said in a 2023 interview with The House magazine.

Now, those same clients, friends, and supporters are returning that love.

‘This is a long road,’ Pietsch wrote on Tuesday. ‘But we are off to a great start and feeling very hopeful.’
