Calvin Austin departs Steelers to sign one-year contract with New York Giants

Wide receiver Calvin Austin has agreed to join the New York Giants on a one-year contract after leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to ESPN, Austin signed a deal worth up to 4.5 million dollars, confirmed by his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.

Austin’s move comes after the Giants lost wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency. Robinson joined the Tennessee Titans this week, following former Giants head coach Brian Daboll, who now serves as the Titans’ offensive coordinator.

Austin spent three seasons with the Steelers after being selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Despite missing his entire rookie season with a foot injury suffered during training camp, he went on to establish himself as a quick and versatile receiver.

In the 2025 season, Austin recorded three touchdowns and 372 receiving yards on 31 receptions.

The former Memphis standout has recorded 84 receptions for 1,110 yards and eight touchdowns across his three NFL seasons.
