Britney Spears has revealed she has been ‘stuck in Mexico‘ for two weeks as she explained her absence after her disappearing social media sparked concern.
The singer, 43, was taking a hiatus after reportedly reaching ‘breaking point’ and her Instagram page temporarily vanished for a few days.
It was reported at the time that the discourse around her wellbeing and ex-husband Kevin Federline‘s book was becoming too ‘triggering’.
Now, the mother-of-two has shared that she has been in the North American country where she claimed she reached the ‘depths of insanity’.
Alongside a video of herself in a bedroom, Britney wrote: ‘Got stuck in Mexico for two weeks and I was banging my head against the wall.
‘It’s quite interesting to see what a person does in vulnerable situations… I obviously trusted no one and entertained myself like a f***ing idiot.

‘It’s actually insane! The one time due to the depths of insanity I think I said my name for the first time in years.’
In the clip, which has so far received 83,000 likes, Britney was wearing a blue blouse and tiny skirt, while also sporting a brown suede hat and a full face of make-up.
While speaking to the camera in a British accent, Britney began untying her shirt to reveal more of her midriff and red bra.
The comments section was turned off on the post so fans were unable to share their thoughts on Britney’s new video.
Britney also shared a selection of other videos on the same day, including a clip of her dancing in the same room in a scantily-clad look.
The star first returned to Instagram over the weekend, where she boldly posed in lingerie days after deleting her account.
Standing just outside of her closet, she cocked her head to the side as she showed off her risqué attire.
‘So much has happened this year, it’s crazy,’ she began her lengthy caption.

Then, she said: ‘I try to live within my means and the book, “Draw the Circle” is an incredible perspective.’
She did not address her short-lived social media blackout at the time and continued to share advice to her fans, before later noting her message has a ‘confusing side’.
‘Get your ballerina [pointe shoes emoji], circle, and own your boundaries,’ she wrote.
‘It’s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer but with so many endless possibilities in life, it’s important to do you and keep it simple,’ she continued.
‘I know there is a confusing side too. The devil is in the details but we can get to that later.’
At the end of her caption, she added three emojis with one blushing in shock, another laughing to the point of tears and a third one blowing its nose.
It came after a series of ‘bizarre’ posts and a public clash with her ex-husband, Federline, 47.
At the end of last month, the pop star hit back at claims her LA mansion was ‘dirty’

Fans were left concerned after Britney shared a video of her dancing with large bruises on her arms and wrote cryptic captions about her sons, Jayden James, 19, and Sean Preston, 20.
At the end of last month, the pop star hit back at claims her Los Angeles mansion was ‘dirty’ while modeling a tiny swimsuit in another eyebrow-raising Instagram post.
And right before that, she revealed a ‘horrible’ leg injury in a video of herself dancing in her home, wearing a pink dress and sporting a white bandage on her right knee.
In another recent post, Britney claimed that she had suffered ‘brain damage’.
It has even been suggested that campaign to end Britney’s conservatorship was a catastrophic mistake following Kevin’s bombshell claims about her ‘shocking behavior.’
In the last clip Britney posted before deleting her account, she stood in front of a full length mirror as she showed off her figure in the plunging pink swimsuit, which she wore with knee-high black boots.
While gazing into the phone her lavish hallway with sweeping staircase and grand piano could seen strewn with piles of clothes.
And in a post last month, Britney — whose erratic home life in her ‘messy mansion’ was recently laid bare by family insiders — explained that she ‘fell down the stairs’ and her leg ‘snaps out now and then’ adding she’s ‘not sure if it’s broken.’

The star — who looked close to tears at one point in the video — also sported large bruises on both her arms.
‘My boys had to leave and go back to Maui … this is the way I express myself and pray through art … father who art in heaven … I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better … and I do have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day !!!’ she wrote in her caption.
She added: ‘Psss I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house … it was horrible … it snaps out now and then, not sure if it’s broken but for now it’s snapped in !!!Thank u god.’
In yet another post she slammed Kevin over his memoir, accusing him of ‘gaslighting’ her, and lashed out at their sons.
She said she’s ‘had enough’ in an emotional Instagram post, writing, ‘The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting.’
Britney also admitted she has felt ‘demoralized’ about the fractured relationship with her boys, writing, ‘I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys.’
The devastated singer added that she’s seen one of her sons for only ’45 minutes in the past five years.’
Kevin, one of Spears’s former backing dancers, was married to her from 2004 to 2007, and was later granted sole custody of their children.
In his memoir, Kevin claims Britney routinely endangered the young boys as she struggled with mental illness.

He delivers a powerful rejoinder to the widespread perception – championed fiercely by fans and supporters in the ‘Free Britney Movement’ – that the singer was the victim of a terrible injustice when she was placed in a 13-year conservatorship by a court alarmed by the state of her mental health.
He said Britney has never admitted she has ‘a problem’, and so her erratic behavior hasn’t stopped.
Kevin insists the Free Britney Movement ‘got it wrong’ and ‘vilified everyone around [Spears] so intensely that now it’s nearly impossible for anyone to step in.’
Since the conservatorship ended, ‘it’s become impossible to pretend everything’s OK,’ he says, describing her situation as ‘racing toward something irreversible.’
Kevin concludes: ‘Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.’
